Housing

Housing is a significant challenge to many immigrants and refugees within Australia, and the NCRME understands that housing is a critical element in resettlement within a community, with everyone needing a stable and secure home as a basis for a good life.

As an institution, NRCME workers assist migrants and refugees with the back end of the housing process, which includes assisting with finding private residential housing by determining their preferred location, dwelling size, and budget. Predominantly these searches are conducted using tools such as the internet, filling out paperwork and writing reference letters to real estate agents detailing the clients’ specific needs and assisting them in securing assistance during their subsequent tenancy.
