Empowering Refugee Migrant Children in Australia
There are many initiatives designed to empower the younger children from migrant and refugee families in Australia at NCRME. Most services provided are designed to empower, increase their knowledge and further develop their skills levels. Additionally, developing confidence is also an integral element. The NCRME focuses on these factors in particular due to our organisations origins, which involved philanthropic activities aiming at elevating the socio-economic status of the younger children from families with lower incomes. Although the project is designed to be more supportive in nature, the intention is to empower the children through access to educational facilities and opportunities to exploit their skills and talents. This particular Refugee and Immigrant Empowerment program is also based on the hardships faced by refugees and migrants and how it negatively affects children, making it relevant and easily relatable to them.
