What makes NRCME the organization it is today?
The National Resource Centre for Migrant Empowerment (NRCME) was founded in 2016 with the aim of supplying support and resources to newly arriving migrant, their communities during their first five years.
The NRCME provides essential services to newcomers in our community. We offer programs and services that help newcomers settle into their new home, connect them with important resources, and help them integrate into Australian society. Some of our key goals and activities include:
- Helping newcomers find housing, employment, and education opportunities
- Connecting newcomers with essential government services and programs
- Offering English language classes and support for immigrants who are not yet proficient in English
- Offering orientation sessions to help newcomers learn about life in Australia
- Supporting refugees as they transition to life in Australia
With digital communication networks, services are expanded to rural parts of Australia, ensuring that all individuals in need have access to our services.
Our mission is to support and promote ethnically diverse community members. To thoughtfully empower and integrate vulnerable migrants and refugees into Australian society.
